Ecommerce websites created with Joomla have always been a controversial topic with many solutions falling short of expectations.

Virtuemart has historically always been one of the most popular ecommerce applications available for Joomla, however not all users have found that it meets their needs.

We have created ECWID4Joomla which integrates your ECWID shopping cart with your Joomla website seamlessly.

ECWID is an ecommerce engine sold in the form of "sofware as a service" and has celebrated it's 2nd birthday this month.

ECWID enables users to insert their shopping cart anywhere on any website using code provided in your once you have signed up for an account.  However, Joomla users have found that creating ECWID shopping cart pages that are fully search engine compliant is not only extremely time consuming, but also restrictive.

We have created a solution to this problem in the form of ECWID4Joomla.

• Import of ECWID categories/sub categories to a Joomla menu
• Native Joomla SEF support
• Included SH404 plugin to offer full URL rewriting, ability to add custom title tags & descriptions to every category and individual products.
• Included XMap plugin to import all of your ECWID categories & products to your site map.
• Additional functions to control the front end view of your store, including;
  • Show/hide breadcrumbs in shop front end
  • Option to add a custom prefix to prices, for example "From:"
  • Custom language file - allows you to modify text labels within your store
