Joomla 1.7 now has it's feet well and truly under the table, and many third party plug-in developers have caught up with the latest version.

However, with Joomla 2.5 due in a matter of weeks according to the Joomla community blog, many users are still running Joomla 1.5, support for which is expected to end later in 2012.

If some are still awaiting an update, you can contact the developer to find out when they expect to release a compatible version, or seek an alternative that is compatible.

If all looks good to go, have your template modified for the version you are upgrading to, and then go ahead and upgrade.
