Joomla 1.7.0 Released
The Joomla Project has announced the release of 1.7.0 with immediate effect.
The release is the first to fall under the new 6 month release cycle that began with the arrival in January 2011 of Joomla 1.6.

Joomla 1.6.5 reaches it's end of life on 19th August 2011 and all users are urged to update to version 1.7.0 before this date.
